Operation
• Select iPod by using the Source and/or Mode button on the Sony head unit as appropriate.
• Use the Repeat Setting function to select iPod Playlist, Album or Artist as follows:-
• Use Disc Up or Down to scroll through iPod Playlist/Album/Artist. When desired Playlist/Album/Artist is
selected use the Track Forward or Backward button to begin playing.
• To select the next or previous track use the Track Up or Down function.
• Use the Shuffle function to select the display format of the iPod information on the head unit as follows:
• iPod text will be displayed on the head unit in your chosen format e.g. disc or track, by pressing the Display
(DSPL) button.*
• The iPod will charge when the Sony head unit is switched on and will power down if the Sony head unit is
switched off or if the ignition is switched off.
• The iPod will pause playing when the source is changed e.g. to tuner.
• You can also use the Sony RMX-4S Joystick or Infra-red remote.
• If your car is fitted with factory audio steering wheel controls these can be used to operate your Sony
head unit & iPod when used in conjunction with a Connects2 steering wheel interface.
Repeat Setting: Off = Playlist
Track = Album
Disc = Artist
Shuffle = OFF = Artist & Track displayed
Shuffle = DISC = Album & Track displayed
* However should no text be programmed into the iPod, “No Text” will appear on the display
