Crossover Network
This compact network provides all the functions you need. Not just a corrective tool, it is a comprehensive way to get the best sound out of your system. Six-level tweeter adjustment lets you install the tweeter where you want it and adjust for the best level.

Sound Optimised Grille
Thanks to extensive testing, we achieved a grille design that not only looks good, but is properly angled to avoid interference with the sound.

Tweeter Back Chamber
The back of the tweeter has a non-reflective cast aluminium tuned air chamber—resulting in greater sound level and dynamic response.

Multi-Layer Cone
This cone uses the specific properties of several different materials in a meticulously crafted layer to ensure maximum strength and minimum weight. The top layer is a natural mica compound that delivers fast, dynamic sound, while the overall cone composition results in detailed, natural sound reproduction throughout the entire frequency range.

Wave Guide
This special device is mounted on the centre cap. It aligns the phases of the waves transmitted by the diaphragm, for more precise, focused reproduction of the sound and sound field.

Aluminium Diecast Gasket
The redesigned basket has a more tapered shape and a smaller mounting diameter for easy installation. Strong and lightweight, it delivers superior dynamics and power handling. Adapter rings allow quick fitting into any original factory location.

High Efficiency
Another improved aspect of this year’s Type-R series is the overall efficiency—they have a full 34% greater power handling capacity, made possible by an extended magnet design and other enhancements. The result is a much more powerful bass sound and higher power overall.

Linear Drive Magnet

Featuring major enhancements over last year’s model—including a larger magnet that is almost as big as the voice coil diameter and a thicker plate—this highperformance motor structure also includes a dual radial magnet and twin gap combined with a square, edge-wound voice coil for far greater true-linear movement of the diaphragm. The result is deeper bass and remarkably clean, accurate sound.
